this is just a rumor i heard from my friend at game crazy but if you notice every final fantasy so far has come out on a nintendo hand held and 7 is the next one in line. not only does it make sense but its also a great idea. now this is just a rumor but this is coming from my friend adam who predicted the announcement of Halo 3, star craft 2 and E3 getting closed to the public. and hes been to e3.(jealous)

it'd never come out for the DS. The DS is WEAK in terms of graphical capabilities and you know that it'd piss off almost every real FF7 fan if they released a re-make of Playstation classic on a Nintendo Handheld. No way in hell. Why do people dream this up??? If FF7 ever comes out, it'll be on the PS3. PSP has FF1&2, getting Dissidia and then FF7: Crisis Core. A re-make would definately come out on a bigger console rather than a handheld.

I think that your friend may be on to something with what he said but all the others have good points to. But I think that it might come out on a DS make but not the curent modile maybe a more advanced version that has higher resalotion and better grathiks and it might not even be a nintendo made version it might be a joint desing made by sony and nintendo but I have no idea if they will team up to make a superear modile espashaly for the final fantasy games like 7 and any futcher games that rival it.

I think Square-Enix will wait and see if the PS3 sells at least 60 million units before it even considers releasing FF7 on it. I highly , highly doubt they'd ever put an FF7 remake on the DS. The DS couldn't handle the original! Also, i'm sure Sony owns the contract to FF7 games anyway
