Damn that's gotta suck. Well another emmbarrasment had to be when I went into the Northern Cavern and put the save crystal right at the beginning. I was killed so many times because I couldn't use a tent nearby.

haha , i was fighting against the ruby weapon lvl 99 all materia ! i used kotr against the arms ! then realised after id killed them that i couldnt damage the main body of ruby ! by then i was running low on pretty much everything and was wiped out .

I did that, too, but it turned out to be lucky because I was close enough to the top that I could get out easily and train Chocobos, find Materia, etc. and try to beat the game again later. I looked at the big spiral and thought, "I should put it at about halfway, because Sephiroth is right down there," not realizing it was just the first room of many.

It was my first RPG. I did not understand the concept of "ridiculously long and difficult final dungeon."

Now why I didn't think of that I don't know. But it'll give me something to think about next time(hopefully not) it happens.

I played the game when I first got my PS1 and I didn't have a memory card. I was planning on getting one soon so I just paused the game and prayed that I didn't die, I was succesful and didn't die but instead I made it all the way to the 2nd disc....uh oh, not memory card and I couldn't play anymore. it was horrible

that still stings for me that i was like you... had everything mastered, thought i was was invincible so i was going around building up my weapons to have my Ultima weapon stolen from me, i spent about 7 hours just building up my characters without saving........god i just about puked and almost destroyed my playstation

7 hours down the tube! Then again i sold my phoenix summon by accident the same time, but hey i got 1 gil for it so i cant complain LOL

Probably being in the Battle Arena and totally pwning for a long time (trying to get Omnislash and W-Summon at the same time), and then to get defeated by the Ghost Ship's Giongivani move (or something like that).

Man that was gay.
