yeah i know what you mean, i got up to the last part of the comp in the arena, then i got the slide thing as i turned into a frog and was like wtf, wtf, wtf, i had full hp and i died on the last part as a F@#$ frog i hate it i hate it

I can't really say I've had any of these moments in FFVII. I played pretty well through the game for it being RPG numero 3 for me ever. I knew the basics of FF games, got sucked into the plot early on, and loved it. No embarassing spots though thankfully.

Any monster that could confuse a party member I am very wary of. Gotta love when your hardest hitting character gets confused and he ends up wiping the team then himself afterwards  |

i know, when your strongest character is beaten by a frog, one single frog kills your entire party... now if that isn't embarrissing a wtf, i dont' really know what is and i don't want to know

Accidently attacking a magic pot and then having it steal Vincent's ultimate weapon... Luckily i saved before this and just shut off my game and restarted lol.

Not really in game, but for some crazy reason on my first playthrough I was playing two files at once. I was at Temple of the Ancients on one and at the first visit to Junon on the other. Of course, early one morning I was playing the early file and saved over the one where I'd reached Temple of the Ancients.
It was mildly irritating.

I would say maxing out my characters level, up to 99, and getting killed in the gold saucer with no handicap due to the fact that I forgot to heal. I had cure spells and potions, just forgot to use them. |

For some reason they'd always confuse the character with 2x-Cut or
4x-Cut, and there would go the fight for me. Really, I'm my own worst enemy.

On my speedrun through the game, I got all the way to the fight with hojo.......and then died....I was devestated.
