Iīm fine with original, all I want glitches fixed and maybe new dungeons with hard bosses but not storychanges. Unfortunately this is very unlikely to happen, like Dazz and maybe some others have said. Spinoffs are Cloud/Vincet/Tifa/Aeris- centric so main game would be too. Also since nowadays you canīt have any stereotypes Barret would be completely ruined, and I donīt any story changes or even dungeon changes. All those puzzle and platforming thins should be in the game and also all scenes, including Drag Cloud and Mukki raping Cloud.
There is just no way this is going to happen no for remake. Or make remake and a port to PSP like IV-VI advance ports. They had no storyline changes and new dungeons and beastiary, thats all I need.

All the FF games seem more birght and cheerful these days. I don't think the animation they use for FF's now would capture that darker side of VII that it origonally had.

Yes, but I don't want it with a new battle system, I want it with the classic FFVII system. Sure the originals great but when newer people look at it, they won't see the classic (unless they are like super fans), they'll see a poorly graphiced game.
I want a remake to show the gamers of the 'next-gen consoles' what a true and classic RPG is. I don't really want a remake for myself, I am satisfied with the ps1 classic, but for all those people out they're who look down on this classic RPG for it's graphics.
Okay I may have just repeated myself about eighty times but my point is clear...ish....

As I've probably already said, I'd love to see a good remake of FFVII. However, I would also like to see a piece of crap remake, to teach people that not everything Square Enix makes is gold. Because I'm pretty sure there are some newer fans who think SE is the be-all/end-all. ^^
