Could it be...
A while ago, it came to my attention that while Hojo considers Sephiroth his son, I'm pretty sure that Professor Gast is Sephiroth's biological father. Okay, so Gast is Seph's papa, and he had him with Lucrecia. Got it.
When you go to Icicle Inn, you are able to enter the house that Infalna and Gast used to own. Inside, you can watch home videos that the couple had taken back when they were alive and Aeris was just a newborn. In those videos, you can infer that Aeris is Gast's daughter with Infalna. Okay. So Gast is Aeris's dad.
HOLD THE PHONE. Gast is Sephiroth AND Aeris's dad? So they're like, half siblings? Sephiroth KILLED HIS HALF SISTER? That's intense.

No. Hojo is Sephiroth's dad. Somebody needs to pay more attention >_>
Dont you remember Vincent's constant rants about how Hojo stole the women he loves and birthed Seph ? Or how at the end of disc two in FF7, Hojo said that he was Seph's dad ?

I know that Hojo said he was Sephiroth's father... but I'm pretty sure Gast was getting frisky with Lucrecia, too. And I also remember hearing somewhere that Gast was really Seph's biological father. But I may be wrong. >.< I really feel like I should check harder though, cause I feel like I'm onto something!

Thats Gast's page on wiki, read up on it if you like. Seph isn't Gast's child, he oversaw Seph's birth though.
But Lucrecia is a whore, she hooked up with Hojo, Vince, maybe Gast and probably Vincent's dad, Grimore. One of the reasons i hate her and she makes Vincent think its all his fault....

AHHH, I SEE. Maybe someone referred to Gast as Sephiroth's "father" because he injected Lucrecia with the Jenova cells when she got it on and got knocked up by Hojo. So he sort of helped to "create" whatever Sephiroth was. I sorta get it now. Thanks for helping me clear that up!
I never knew Vincent had a dad. XD Named Grimore. I lol'd at the "Lucrecia is a whore" comment. Yeah, I hated that lady. Vincent deserved much better.

Um...does it state anywhere that Gast had a romantic relationship with Lucrecia? Or that Lucrecia had a romantic relationship with Grimoire? Fanfiction doesn't count. Let's not just assume because she worked with someone she was also sleeping with them.
And I also have no clue how you would infer that Sephiroth was Gast's son when it is stated more than once that he was the son of Hojo and Lucrecia. Gast overseeing the Jenova project doesn't make him Sephiroth's father.

Hojo is Sephiroth's dad, as some people have already stated. It has stated in many games in the compilation. Gast is Aerith's dad, that much is true.
Aerith and Sephiroth can't be siblings, due to the fact that they have a different mother and father.
