You should add a poll to this thread...

Anyways I thought it was always blue, but on one of my tv's it did look purple. But I would guess that blue would be more military style. I just can't imagine a army of purple. Has to be blue...

which is why there isnt an army of purple theres an army of blue, clouds is purple to set him apart from the others and because it looks so damn cool!

Ohhh so just cloud's is purple... I still remember it being blue. But then again I've always had some ghetto tv's. Its quite possible the color was off on them.

Purple would look better. I'm gonna google it its bothering me now.

wow was lookinhg it up on google etc and by the looks of it your right guess it is blue...how boring lol, ive played ffVII many maaaany times and have always thought it was purple

It is purple when you are just walking around on the field. But, as other people have stated, it is very inconsistent. Seeing as how it is blue on the game cover, in battles, in the cinematics, in the profile picture I would say that it's really supposed to be blue. I played the game a little just to make sure.

I'd go more accurately by what's in the game; especially if it's text/script from a character's mouth in this case Tifa. I always thought it was blue too, but have never seen the artist drawings to compare with though.

The color was inconsistent, but it was officially blue. Based on what I've seen while playing, its purple. In AC too, there was a part when its dark blue (when he was in Healin Lodge), but its really black.
