it WOULD be nice if they made her revivable in a remake, or killed her off at the end, although that would majorly screw with the plot...
Personally, i'm hoping she'll get her chance to shine in Crises Core

Well, let us hope so. She's a nice addition to the team, and I kinda always wanted to know what happened if she didn't die. lol.

I dissent. Though the possibilities are generally good, I wouldn't play a game that revived her. It'll go against the great dramatic plot IMO.

Nope. Absolutely not. No more spin-offs. I refuse to play/watch another spin-off. However, it would be interesting to see how the whole tide of events played out were Aerith to be revived.

1- If you revive Aerith you kill her entire purpose. I, for one, do not wish for the meaning that her murder was supposed to have to be cheapened so utterly. It was a conscious and willful decision to have Aerith be murdered and for her to never come back, so that the cliche of the randomly sacrificed party member would be turned on its smegging ear.
Reviving Aerith is like having Boromir stand back up and say "Well, that hurt. Sorry about that bit with wanting the ring. Shall we go melt it, then?"
2- C/T v C/A has already been settled. Rather abruptly. See also: Murder.

Not if you base the game before the events of 7.

But that wouldn't be reviving Aeris, which is what the previous poster said.

What a terrible idea, FFVII has enough decent characters without reviving Aerith. If you want more of Miss Gainsborough then buy Crisis Core.
I would prefer if one of the other main characters died in a future game and maybe introduce Shelke as a full time member of the team.

The previous poster said reviving Aeris would kill her entire purpose which is to basically die in 7. If the events were set before 7, Aeris wouldnt know this would happen. She hasnt died yet, so how can she be revived?
You may has well say that Tidus was revived in X2 then as he came back.

That's what I was saying. There is absolutely no way to have a good game if it involves reviving Aeris. I agree that a game taking place before she has been killed would be alright, but the previous poster was only discussing the ramifications of what would happen in the event of actual revival.
