I don't believe she was flirting, but I do confess at seeing a sense of being overly friendly on her part. As for being a gold digger... well, I think we should just dismiss this comment. Makes no sense at all.

I have to admit, I have never knew about this until now. Makes sense, I guess. And thank the good light that Sephiroth and Aerith weren't lovers in the actual game. That would ruin the whole love triangle between Cloud, Aerith and Tifa. =)

As far as siblings go, I wouldn't have minded if that was actually the case in the game. That would have been extremely dramatic, indeed...and players would probably experience more emotion and sadness when the notorious scene comes up.

Well humm i thought goldigger would be a woman who is only after money...and if the story about Sephiroth and Aeris being lovers was true it would actually make sense if she was one...

Picture this...Aeris uses Sephiroth to obtain the Black Materia and control Meteor that kind of makes her a materiadigger!

As for the flirting...i honestly don´t understand how you can say Aeris does not flirt with Cloud i mean as soon as he falls on the flower field she offers him a date to help her escape

Well theres a reason for that - picture this Aerith lives in the slums and probably has no real friends, and Since thats what Zack first said to her i think she thinks that its perfectly normal social Ettiquite.

and i dont think that even if Aerith and Sephiroth were dating she'd use him to get her hands on the black materia - Aerith isnt like that at all - what would be her motive? what would she have to gain?

Well if she was evil she would have to gain the power of the black materia and the power to disrupt the cicle of life just like Sephiroth!

And i don´t agree with that etiquette theory with all the respect Aeris...she did flirt with Cloud right there and what about when she asks if Tifa is Clouds girlfriend?

Honestly i don´t see why it´s so hard to admit she flirts with Cloud i mean she is a lonely woman who needs some love so it´s alright!

Im not denying that she flirts with Cloud....you just made it sound so....Negative that i had to justify it

And Nah even if they Were Siblings/Lovers Aerith would still be a paralell to Sephiroth - its how its always been and would ever be. so i think that it would just add more dramatic Irony to her death than majorly change the storyline and have her turn evil

But what if they were the type of siblings(rare as hell) that actually got along with each other. They agreed on everything including the plan to destroy the world and become gods. What do you think would happen then?

Well in that situation i would think the right move would be to made Aeris betray Sephiroth or Sephiroth betray Aeris...because there couldn´t really be two final bosses/enemies.

But i´m guessing that would not happen because in FFVI Kefka already betrays the Emperor to become the main villain so i guess it would have been to much if the same thing happened in FFVII.

True. But what about instead of Jenova-Synthesis(big Jenova ball creature) you fight some transforrmed version of Aeris? Aeris-reborn or something like that.
