Considering she wasn't even at full power when she croaked, it would be really interesting to see the power of the other centra. Kinda makes you wonder how Ilfana managed to die in the hands of a lab rat.

Alas like most mages, Ilfana proberbly didnt have the physical strength or DEF to stop the attack that eventually killed her. Not that we know for sure what exactly killed her. We just given hints. We assume how she died.

I heard that there was supposed to be a way to save her, but the PSone came out early, so the game was rushed... But I don't know if that's true, I just heard it somewhere...

I think if there were a way to save her, it would have ruined the plot.

I guess so, it kinda added to the realism of the game for one of tha main characters to die...

No, she was certainly no more powerfull than any other in the team, I only had her in my party when I missed having her around, a little like Red.

I was in love with Aeris from the moment she was first seen in the game (no not in love like that !!!) but there was just something about her, so I did build her up, she was brilliant and her limit breaks allowed me to kill alot more things with ease, not just bosses but the bigger little things too ... enabling me to also level up the other team members quickly

Really? I knew almost nothing about FF10 before I played it, but I knew a little too much about FF7.
Yeah, she was an Ancient, so it's reasonable for her to be so powerful. Looking back, the game probably would have been a lot easier had she remained alive, but then the story wouldn't have made a lot of sense, so. I only had up to Breath of the Earth when I first played through, so I tended to stick with her Level 1 Limit Breaks.

I have to admit Aeris, I never thought of it that way. It kinda does
seem that she is powerful when she gets her level 3-4 limits. I have
to give you a thumbs up for looking at it that way. She was actually
strong as a mage, but I never got up to her level 3-4 limits, cause
I didn't have the patience.
