What're the chances of a FF6 DS remake? - Page 2

Seeing as how Terra and Kefka look fantastic on the PSP in Dissidia I can't imagine why they wouldn't make VI for the same system, I really hope this is something they're considering.

As for the remixed soundtracks, I'm imagining something like these:

Final Fantasy VI is a epic game and it deserves more than just a DS ''touch-up ''

Think how epic it would be... having a Full-Fledged Final Fantasy 6 remake.

Though heard rumors that Japan dislikes VI and is crazy about V.

So maybe Japan will get V on PS3 and VI on DS & America and Europe will get V on DS and VI on PS3 and Xbox ?

But VI needs more love.

I think the chances that a FFVI remake will come out are high. But I think they will probably remake FFV first, as they released FFIII first, then FFIV after that, so you can sort of expect FFV to come next. FFIV was a hit, so who knows? I'm really, really, hoping they will remake FFVI, as I'm a big fan of the game. It was an epic. I also think that it'll probably be made for the DS, as they made FFIII and FFIV for the DS. But then again, I'm not sure..

I think it's quite likely considering III & IV have been done, looks liek they are working up the list *dreams* it'd be foolish for them to neglect VI now, I think they should know that people would snap them up. Although Id expect V before they remade VI

So I think it's rather likely

Considering that they made III and IV Remake, why not one of V and VI? It only makes sense.

I adore spin-offs and remakes on the psp and ds for the simple fact that I can play Final Fantasy on the move, what's not to like?

I never finished FFVI. Not because I didn't like the game, but because I didn't have enough time to finish it. It's a very good game and could definitely use a graphic touch-up. I think by the time they get around to making a remake of FFVI they will have a new generation of hand held systems... so maybe their waiting.

Pssh. If you can't play an awesome 2D game with beautifully detailed graphcis, simply because it's not polygonal, you are missing out on an absolutely amazing game. Your loss.

3D, I think, would ruin the style of FF6. Where it worked for the simplistic medieval-fantasy styles of FF3 and FF4 very well, try to imagine the intricate details of FF6's world, compromised into pixellation on 32-bit polygons. I can't picture it. Maybe they'll make it work. I will say, if they can pull of the feel of the original in 3D, I'll be very impressed. I got the DS versions FF3 and FF4, even though I already had an older version of FF4. I'd get a DS FF6, if they do it as well as they did the other two. We can only hope.

I'd like to see FFVI on the PSP rather than the DS >_> The DS remakes of FFIII and IV have felt...somewhat clunky, the DS just isn't powerful enough to render really wonderfully looking characters, and I, for one, would be horrified at seeing FFVI's cast look like those in FFIII and FFIV DS >_>

I think it's likely that they'll remake FFVI eventually, along with FFV. I just don't know if they'd release it for the DS or not. I wouldn't expect to see it on the PS3 though.
