Cons
1. This game would most likely have voice actors... and if they are any thing like FFX, FFXII, or AC well...
2. Unnecessary things could be added. I don't want to see hours and hours of angsting because it appeals to little fangirls.
3. Making the characters appear more attractive than they are. Kefka is a creepy clown, Cyan is 50 years old, Relm is a little girl, Gau was raised in the woods, and Stratego is an old man. Don't make they look hot. Setzer also better not look the way he does in Kingdom Hearts II.
4. They BETTER keep the world map and controllable air ship.

Pro #1: True, true. I think they did a good job in the opening movie of FF6 for the Anthology for PS1, where the characters looked updated with new graphics but still faithful to the art style.
Pro #2: The opera scene would be TO. DIE. FOR.
Pro #3: Aw, but I like the 16-bit music. The world map version of Terra is still one of my favorite game songs... but I do like the piano version at the beginning of Anthology VI.
Pro #4: This is a big one for me. One of the main reasons I want an FF7 remake so badly is because not enough was explained in that game. (There's a difference between leaving things to the imagination and blatantly not explaining them, but it took a while for Square to figure that out. //begin Compilation)
Con #1: I didn't mind FF10's voice actors (except for Tidus), and I liked all of them from FF12. I think they're getting better.
Con #2: I'll trust Square not to go this route.
Con #3: I DO NOT trust Square not to go this route. I've also been complaining about Nomura's latest character designs and redesigns (I didn't consider Zack to be "pretty" in the original art for FF7, but now... and Sephiroth is getting ridiculous). Like I said, it'd be great to see them in 3D but faithful to the original artwork, like in the opening movie to Anthology VI, but if everyone starts going supermodel (except Celes), it'll be more than mildly upsetting.
Con #4: I concur. I refuse to believe world maps are things of the past, even though recent games tell me otherwise.
