I have always thought of each Final Fantasy coming after the one before it. Even though they don't take place in the same world.

And the Far Plane and the Life Stream seem like two waaaaaaaaaaaaaay different things.

They have similar properities I guess. It was mentioned in the Ultimania that it was supposed to be some legit link between the two, according to one of the developers/writers/whatever. Tho I think he was just pulling our legs and its nothing more of a mere storyline homage, something to woo the fans that were paying attention.

Bit like Gilgamesh from VIII. Did he really just come from the Cleft Dimention from FFV?.....hmmm but thats abit more solid I guess, but not entirly canon.

What about IX and VII? Lots of references and links there dotted about the place.....

Theres many in the seires, I don't care for them in that way. Each FF is set in a diffrent world with NO canon links to their worlds except for X and X-2. Oh and maybe Tactics, XII, and the games in the Ivalice Allience.

GBA version is awesome and i love that sword name

I'm sure I've gotten the sword somewhere. I doubt I've used it much, but I know I recognize the naem from my list of inventory at one point or another.
