Terra or Celes?

Which one of these two do you prefer? since most classify one or both of them as the main character i thought it would be interesting to see which ones more popular.

Just PLEASE dont flame, i dont wanna see another Aeris VS Tifa style war here.

so posts like :

"Terra is awesome, i really liked it when she Morphed

Celes was cool too but wasnt as good as terra i think"

are acceptable

but posts like

"LYK ZOMG TERRA RULES - CELES SUCKS THOUGH!! SHES SO POO!"

Are NOT acceptable and i will not hesitate to report offensive posts.

So anyway, now that that has all been said and done.

I prefer Celes more, she was an enigma when you first met her and had some classic lines like "im not a lovesick fool" (or something to that effect anyway) and seemed to have this calm cooler demeaner about her for the majority of the WoB - and it was amazing how she developed - the scene were she stabbed Kefka was proof of how much she developed

and i loved how she took on the leadership role for the WoR and her relationship with Locke was truly touching

Dont get me wrong - i do adore Terra - i think shes awesome, but there was just something about Celes which made me like her more

Now your thoughts?

Iliek Terra's backstory a lot more so I'm going to choose her as my favorite of the two in this situation. When you travel to the past and the Esper planet and all that went on between Madonna and Maduin (Terra's parents) you see how deep the plot is getting and how once again the life of one of your main characters is at risk.

Celes is cool, but not much is expanded on her for how much of a role she supposedly plays in the game. Terra is the covergirl, so I'm going with her.

I far preferred Terra. I loved her role in the game story-wise, it was very clever having her as part-Esper. I loved how she was also the only one (I think) who could naturally learn magic without equipping magicite. Actually, I think Celes could do that

As for Celes, I despised her. From what I remember, she had a small role (I probably ignored most of what she said) and in battle, she was as useful as a sponge. Her special move was uninteresting and didn't help unless you knew that your enemy was going to use magic next
I'd say Celes is probably my least favourite character from any FF (maybe rivalled by Penelo)

I have to go with Terra. She is one of my favorite FF characters ever. I loved her development through out the game from a quite confused girl to a confident warrior at the end of the game. And even though she wanted to find love, she didn't do it in a cliched way buy having a romance with one of the other male character, but she did it by taking care of the children which eventually gave her the strength to keep fighting. And the fact that she was part esper was cool too. And her morph ability was pretty sweet.

I love Celes too though.

Terra is my favorite because she could use magic right at the start, she could turn into her esper form, she could use swords ( always had her carry two blades), and throughout most of the game I thought of her as the main character.

I liked some of the scenes Celes was in ( like the opera scene and the part at the beginning of the WoR), but Terra is my favorite.

I'm still trying to understand Celes' past...
Is it really that underdeveloped??

I loved Terra's personality.
She's very down to earth and collected, even though she's "lost" for the majority of the game. It's sweet when she finally finds herself. =]

I preferred Celes, cause she was shy and not. She was a great fighter and very skillful and she made her feelings for locke so obvious.

Terra. The morphing thing was awesome, she had a great back story. She had green hair nuff said

However, the Opera Scene with Celes stands as one of my favourite parts in any FF

I prefer Terra more than I prefer Celes. I love Terra's past and I love her connection to the Esper world. I thought she was more unique than Celes was and I love how she looks and acts so innocent
