Locke VS Setzer. - Page 2

I prefer Locke and Celes.
Locke directly and indireclty saved Celes during the game. Directly in Figaro, indirectly with his bandanna

I just can't picture Celes with Setzer he seems... old.

Celes is for Setzer.
Terra is for Locke.

And in the story, Setzer left Maria for Celes.

I like both characters very much but when it comes to pairing up with Celes, I would have to say Locke would make a better partner for her! He was really caring and sweet towards her while Setzer really wasn't. Those two seem to make a very nice couple while Setzer/Celes is kind of weird to me. I don't think that would work out in the end lol. I'm sure Locke would treat Celes a lot better than Setzer ever would!

I never really saw any of the relationships in VI canon, even Locke and Celes, since through the entire game Locke was trying to bring Rachel back to life.

So I guess it's really who you prefer her to be with.

I chose Setzer, since I had to choose between the 2.

Locke IMO is still set on Rachel even through the misfortunes that happened in the past. Setzer is alone in life and without a soul-mate so them hooking up would be pretty interesting. Isn't he suppose to be some kinda semi-pimp anyway?

well there are the scenes showing that the is something forming between locke and celes. it's jjust that locke feels guilty that if he does fall for celes he is betraying his past love.
setzer on the other hand just want to marry someone that looked nice, he didn't even care who exactly it was as long as she looked pretty

Even if you don't have Locke in your party in the end, Celes dives for his bandanna, calls it her good-luck charm, and wonders if Locke is watching over her from somewhere. Setzer == 3rd wheel.

Though I would definitely argue that Locke is hung up on Rachel.

I say it really depends on whether or not you save Locke. If Celes does get to see him alive again during the World of Ruin, then the fact that he indirectly saved her life *twice* kinda helps push them together.

But if you decide not to pick him up, then I'm all for SetzerxCeles, because as far as they know, Locke is dead. And if she never sees Locke again, I'd rather have her move on than pine for someone she's lost (ironically exactly what Rachel tells Locke after the Phoenix Caves).
