Best antagonist ever. The final boss battle was difficult, but not as difficult as Sephiroth to me. As a comparison to Sephiroth, I wanted to kick Kefkas butt more because of what he did throughout the game. While Sephiroth made me want revenge due to the plot in 7, the depth of which I wanted to take him down wasnt as strong as Kefka overall. Kefka became this arrogant god that destroyed the earth because he was an eccentric jerk looking for power. He killed loved ones of the characters and destroyed entire towns, and pretty much the entire planet.

I found the battle itself rather easy, but that was pretty much the norm with FFVI, however he was definatley the most interesting of FF final bosses and the music composition as you climbed the divine comedy made the battle so much more than the fight itself.
The transformation to the god of magic was also reflective of Kefka's goals, and even then from his final dialog you realise he wont stop until theres nothing left, one hell of an antagonist xD

Well. As a character, there have been few FF bosses I hated more, namely Sin and Sephiroth, and he was not nearly as difficult as I felt the "god of magic" should be. The said, he was a true psycho, and is my second or third favorite villain because I worked for a state hospital, and he allowed me to treat a psycho like I have always felt they should be treated, instead of babying murderers for being "Incompetent", I got to put his @$$ under. I really enjoyed it!

Kefka as the last boss were cool but not that challenging, pretty easy for havin four different forms. i got him with almost only one character and i was like lvl 66 or something. i think that character were Cyan, i had an awesome combo so kefka didn't really do much damage at all.
i was kinda surprised when i met him because a friend of mine had gone on and on about how hard he was. so i was OMG it's gonna be a challenge but no the fucktard were not challenging. but the music were cool it fitted with the whole environment.

Kefka was no doubt my favorite FF villain in the series. The only problem was that he was to easy. My party was around Lv. 55 and al I had to do was throw shurikens and use Ultima a few times and he was dead. I found the battles with Fiend, Goddess, and Demon harder. The ending was cool, but the battle was a little dissapointing for me.

I like how Kefka's ending song is 20 minutes long to match his epicness as a final boss. I had beaten many bosses from other FF games, this being my favorite fight to fight. He was a great boss! Very evil!

I agree about the music, art, and evilness of Kefka. They were amazing. One of his lines is what sold me that he was the best boss ever, and that was right after the obligatory hero's stating why they are fighting speeches. He replies, after looking sad, or course, with, "You sound like chapters from a self-help booklet! Prepare yourselves!" I loved that. I did find goddess to be the only real challenge in the whole battle because she will definitely kill one character, even with Life 3 cast on them. I love Dancing Mad, one of my favorite songs. Also, very hard to play on piano, but invigorating.
