You can make game harder by turning "wait" to "active" from config menu and even more harder increasing battle speed. Then bosses like Ultros can throw really nasty combos.

I bought DS thanks to this game and soon I have completed everything what was in SNES version and I will get all new espers and go to dragons den in my next save file. This first time is to remember all the stuff what I have forgotten like where to get cursed shield?

Excellent Game! I really like the newly added stuff, also with the new powerful dragons and mobs within the Dragon Cave, Locke Cole + Genji Glove + Offering + Valiant Knife + Atma Weapon ='s Most Offensive and Powerful Character in the game.

The slight downside to this port has been the downgrading of the music, and fans of Woolsey's dialogue translation will probably be left disappointed at some of the changes most notably to the infamous "son of a submarine" line. But on the whole it's just like the original SNES game, and it beats having to wait for long periods just for the battle screen to load up as it had occurred in the PSX version.

Well I got it, nearly finished it (just Dragon's Den left to tackle now), even got the Paladin Shield this time, and I can say its great! Only downsides are of course the music and some parts of the translation arn't as good. However most is exceedinly better.

I wish there was a harder version of this game as its far too easy, at lest during the first half of the game.
