FF VI: Advance - Page 4

Well now that the game is out...
I have a question for those of you who have played both advance and the original version.

What's the difference?
I've been playing FFVI advance for 20 hours and I'm already at Kefka's tower.
I know I didn't get everything, and I haven't beat all the dragons or finished all of the sidequests, but...it looks like the game can be beat in about 30 hours or so.

Is it really this short, or is there something different in the advance version?

Yikes. I was thinking about buying this game until I saw this post. Is it really only 20 hours or so? Can anyone post their game time? I was thinking of treating myself to this after moving but I don't want this to be too short.

I'm 45 Hours into the game and Still have sidequests to do.
She was rushing.
Besides Kefka's Tower there for a while. I can't explain it, just get the game and you'll understand.

Thanks a lot, I appreciate the response. I'll go purchase the game soon. I was hoping it would be around 40 or so hours; this solves my worry.

The Sidequests you have to do are pretty Mandatory to beat the game, about half of this game is Sidequests

could just download it off the internet. i beat the original today. and i beat the Advance one a month ago.

I was thinking about getting Final Fantasy VI advance as well but am not sure whether to or not. I probably will and am hoping that the advance version is not much different from the original game. I love Final Fantasy VI and would love to play it again so I'm going to have a look around for this and see if I can get it very soon!

I never had a chance to finish this because well, other games got into the way. The advance versions weren't that different from the original ones. They also add a couple of new stuff, I believe.
