why does everyone hate this game? - Page 3

I loved final fantasy 5. It was my first old school RPG. The job system was awesome. I liked the main characters, galuf etc ...galuf.

I liked the chocobo, the airship, and the 2 different planet approach. The dragon you ride, the chicks . FF5 was far better than 4 in my opinion.

FF 5 and 3 come in a close tie for me.

5 has to be one of my fave games of all time, its really creative how the job system allows you to make your characters into just about any class, i love how interactive the game is to^^

well, first, screaming "Prepare for doom, Exdeath!!" just doesn't do it for me. what kind of main villain name is Exdeath? he sounds just like one of those mid-game bosses whose names you just forget when you go to the next dungeon. I didn't feel anything when Galuf died, except that i'm missing a good melee character.

although there are plenty of shortcomings, FFV is still o.k. imo, it's just lacking that character depth, and the job system is definitely a good plus point, love buffing up the characters.

Yeah I wasn't to fond of the name ExDeath either. Really it doesn't make sense to me. ExDeath? Meaning he doesn't like Death? He was dead but now he's not? It was just a lame name altogether and sounded like a very bad mistranslation.

i don't see why everyone hates it either. I rather lliked ff v. it's not quite better than ff iv, though... that sounds a bit presumptuous to me

I liked it's more humorous approach. And it rivals FFTA for bet job system.

Not really sure you can say "everyone hates" this game; it's just over-looked most of the time. It's a game that is over-shadowed in the Old School games due to the greatness of FFVI, so of course the preference will go to FF6.

It's got a great story, characters, bosses, and main villain with Ex-Death. Sure the graphics were not too appealing to me, but like I said before, I prefer a good story to visual appeal any game. I think if there were more fans of FF at the time of FFV's release instead of the boost of fans years later after FFVII's release, than FFV would get more love for it's greatness.

i have played this game for the gba and for the ps1 and i compared both versions and i like the gba verion better and gernerlly iu love this game great story and exalent battles. well balenced with graphics and adventures you can go on i recemmend this game to anyone who hasnt played it

I wouldnt say that people hate it, more like its forgotten among the other titles. I played it for the first time a year ago, or two. I thought it was decent, the job system was great! Which really managed to replace the need of more characters. IMO
The characters was.. not good enough to be remembered.

And I think this one will remain pretty anonymous for the crowd. Especially since a new generation of gamers arrived with the PS3, WII and 360 consoles.

The sad thing is that most people (these days, especially new gamers) prefer to play a game with good graphics, even though the gameplay might be mediocre.

i liked the game. once you get around the story line and all the optional pieces of it (i still don't get half of it) it's a nice game. characters were a step down sure, but at least you could change the abilities people have instead of keeping it to one basic thing.
