And afterwards, I thought...

"That was pathetically easy."

It was a simple set up.

Faris - Freelancer
Excalibur
Sasuke's Katana
Genji Helm
Genji Armour
Genji Gloves

Dual-Wield auto-ability
Spell Blade
Rapid Fire

Bartz, Lenna and Krile
All bards with whatever leftover equipment I had. Bartz had "First Strike" and Lenna had "Equip Katana" for the Masamune.
Here's roughly how it went:

Lenna - First attack - Sing, Romeo's Ballad
Omega Stopped
Bartz - Romeo's Ballad
Omega still Stopped
Faris - SpellBlade, Thundaga
Omega - Atomic Ray, not stopped
Krile - Romeo's Ballad
Omega - Stopped again
Lenna - Romeo's Ballad
Omega - Stopped
Bartz - Romeo's Ballad
Omega - Stopped
Faris - Rapid Fire
Omega - Dead.

Did anyone else find this fight so easy?

Was it, really that easy? I still havn't beat it. Him and that dragon Shinryu. I'm level 55 but nothing I do seems to work. Maybe I should try what you did.

I was level 49 or so when I did this. It's a simple set-up, and it works really well.

I'm guning for Shinryuu now, I'll let people know how it goes.

Just beaten Shinryuu too. These 'superbosses' aren't that tough, really.

Faris, same set-up as earlier.

Krile: Mime
White Magic
Summon
Combine

Bartz: Freelancer
Jump
Dual-wield
Partisan and Masamune (No Dragon Lances :()

Lenna: Mime
Black Magic
Time Magic
Blue Magic

Everyone has coral rings equipped.
Faris used Flare Sword (20 thousand damage a turn =D)
Bartz used Jump (5000 damage a turn)
Lenna used Flare or Meteor (Not much damage a turn! =o)
Krile healed and used Dispel a lot (No damage a turn! o.O)

Five minutes, and it was dead.

that's cool i should try it, but first i have to beat ruby weapon and emerald in FF7....

Congrats on the win. I've beat the game but haven't given Omega a shot yet. Maybe when I go back and try to level up some more.

Yea, that's no kidding. What level were you? I've gone up against it once (without that elaborate of a setup) and totally got my ass handed to me. I didn't exactly spend a lot of time leveling though.

I've killed those eight Omega =D

As far as I know, Omega Mark 2 is the same, just with more HP and he can switch his weakness, so I'll be using Flare Sword and curing more with !DualCast and Mime.

NeoShinryuu, on the other hand, decimated my team in about 5 seconds.... blaghhh
