Trances
So, is it just me or did Zidane have the best Trance? =/. Why not make everyone's trance equally useful? Who's was your favortie?
So, Discuss: Trances

Zidane definintly had the best trance in the game. His solution number 9 was the best of all and it even saved me against that Earth guy.
Vivi's wasn't bad either if you had ultima and were able to cast it twice.
Freya's was nice if you were up against an enemy that was too touch for your characters. She would just stay up in the air and not get hit
The rest were alright.
Eiko's double white was nice if she had holy.
Garnet's grand summon only let you summon with out using up MP, which could be good if you need to repeatedly cast summons, but other than that it was pretty useless.
Can't remember what Steiner, Quina, and Amarant's were.
The trance system was a pain because they only lasted for one battle. And if a character tranced at the end of battle, well then it was wasted.

Quina Trance allowed him/her to do the "Cook" ability. I am not quite sure what it's use was for. lol.
Amarant's Trance allowed him to double his special abilities. Like his "Chakra" move allowed only 1 character MP and HP well, in trance it allowed him to do it to multiple people.
Steiner...I am not sure of. I think it just increased his attack? Meh...
Omg, Freya's Trance I never understood. So, it just allowed her to stay in the damn air? How useless.

Zidane's was cool and destructive, but just like Cloud, who had all-around good stats, Zidane's trance is much more powerful than the other ones.

Is Zidane's the most useful? Let's see...
ZIDANE: Can cause 9999 damage in a single hit.
VIVI: Can cast two black magic spells-probably the second useful.
STEINER: Triples damage. Yeah, I never noticed the increased damage, really.
GARNET: Summon can stick around. Summon may cause more damage. Also, ensures that you see the full summon animation every time they attack, despite normally seeing a shorter version of it. So this one isn't useful, and annoys you, too.
FREYA: Probably my favorite character. Her trance? Sticking around in the air, free from getting damaged all the while causing high damage. I loved this one, until I realized after using it that I needed to cast Regen on everyone and had no white mages. That didn't end well.
QUINA: Now you have to get a enemy beneath 70% of their max HP instead of 25% in order to eat them. Useful when trying to get a spell. Not so useful when she already has the spells of every enemy in the area.
EIKO: I never used this, mainly because in the short periods of time I was forced to use Eiko before pulling a Umaro and sticking her on the airship permanetly, she never tranced.
AMARANT: Now his moves effect all targets. Works with some-Aura, Chakra, Revive. But I never found a use for most of his moves, especially the Gil Toss move that's in every game that I detest.
So...yeah. Out of those, only Zidane's and Vivi's are always useful. The protagonist usually has the best limit break, but this is a tad bit ridiculous, now that I reflect on it...still my favorite Final Fantasy game, however.

Freya's also targeted all enemies while up in the air, it was slightly more useful than most of you give credit.
How EPIC would Beatrix be if she had a Trance bar?

Zidane's was by far the most powerful just the same as Clouds limit break and Squalls Lionheart which was just devestating.
Vivis was effective and with the right magic did more damage than Zidanes and even Steiners was good with a higher weapon I used to get 9000+ hits with him on his trance.

Zidane's trance was good seeing as his top ones hit for big damage which helped during late boss battles, but overall, I hated this game's way of using Trances.
You get into a really hard battle, your Trance meter is almost full, you're hacking away at the boss which is taking you forever. You finally get popped in the jaw which sends your favorite character into Trance which will help big time. FINALLY! Then the very next character takes a hit on the boss and knocks him out and you defeat him. Hurray...and Damnit!
Trance can be so wasted in this game. If only they would have been able to been carried over to the next battle, or anytime for that fact, sort of like FFVII's or FFX's.

I liked Vivi's and Zidane's Trance. Vivi looked awsome and Zidane got cool abilities.
