Colored stones allow you to summon eidolons.
You have to equipt them to garnet or eiko.
And you have to keep them equipped with it until they aquire enough AP to learn to use it without the stone equipped.

Not those. They are collected as key items and have no use like Red Stone and such. Not the Gems for summons. There are 4 of them Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue. Also its after the Dwarf village I made a mistake where they are at.

OHHH supposedly they open different paths and you can get some treasure chests...if i recall correctly. XD
There are a few statues on that path...you have to put the stones in the right statues.

They're on the Mountain Path on the way to Madain Sari right?
Well they don't actually do much. If you put them all into a statue near the end then you'll get something out of it. I think it was just one of those stupid gems for summons though.

If you collect all 4 of them and put them in the statue you'll get a moonstone. Pretty sure of that.

The Moonstone is nothing of significance. If you impressed Queen Brahne during Disk 1 with the show, then you can obtain a Moonstone from her when controlling Steiner.
It only teaches something which you should have anyway. Not even worth getting at this stage.

SUpposedly though if you have x amount of certain stones though, your summons will cause more damage...like dark matter effects Odin.
I wonder what the moonstone effects...
