Should I buy?

i dont have this game yet, and i was wonderign if i should buy it before i search around for it. was it worth it? did you like it?

Oh man, a friend popped the game into my PS2 and I saw the intro FMV and I was instantly hooked on the Final Fantasy series. I had no idea what FInal Fantasy was at this point in my life, but after watching FFIX's intro, and playing a few hours into it, I jumped on eBay and bought FFVII and FFX as well!

Buy the game! Vamos!

yeah you should. FFIX is a superb FF game - its my 3rd favorite - its got one of the most engrossing stories ever - yet it stays failry easy to understand, and its cute and wuvvable XD the characters are awesome and the battle system is easy to understand

so if youve liked any other FF which has the ATB system then im 95% positive you'll like FFIX

I really liked this game. You should definitely buy it because it was the first FF game i played and i got hooked onto the series.

Yeh, it was teh first FF game i playd too! (and the only one ive finished... *Blush* ) Its mega awsome!

Yes definently buy it! I think it's one of the best FF games. And it's a nice mixture of the old and the new.

It is to this day still my Final Fantasy of choice. I've said elsewhere that there are longer games in the series and there are harder games in the series, but this one remains the most enjoyable in my view.

It should be noted my sig does not only apply to post moochers, but also to people who fail to purchase this game........no one likes to anger Old Nick now, do they?

Of course you need to get Final Fantasy IX. It is my second favourite behind Final Fantasy VII, truely a great game for the FF series.

Thank god i found this thread. Please, please do buy this game. I cannot recommend it enough. Here's my story;

I got FF7 many christmas's ago, thinking it'd be rubbish, i threw it to the side. Later, i started playing it. I was hooked. I ended up buying FF8 and it wasn't all that great imo, but something made me carry on playing the FF series. I bought 9. Greatest decision of my life. FF9 has some of the best characters ever made in the FF series. FF9 will make you feel emotions you never thought you had. The plot is unbelievable. It's fantastic. It's set in the old days, castles n the-like, making up a great atmosphere. I ended up selling my game. Many tears later, i decided i wanted it again. I ended up getting it on Ebay, still brand new and sealed for the PS1.

I'm 2 hours through it now and plan to play it some more tomorrow. Overall, it's probably the 2nd best FF in the series, (first being FF7). It has a beautiful storyline and you really will love it. The ending is the best ending in an FF. But don't get over-excited just yet, just play it through n come back and see what you think of it
