Queen Brahne
I was just wondering about Queen Brahne is she human or something else?
Because it's said that she used to be be nice before the king died and kuja showed up so was it the greed that made her look like that or was she just some weird elephant woman
Any Idea's?

It's unexplained as to why she has such odd skin colouration, though I highly doubt mere mental corruption could be the cause of it.
There's no actual pictorial reference to back this up either, as the earliest we ever see of her is in Alexandria Castle's main hall - the painting at the top of the staircase which can be viewed upon entering. And even then it's black and white, resembling a Queen Victoria-esqué face-paint job (white face).
A chance occurrence, I'm guessing.

Yeah I was thinking that myself when I posted this. There isnt any proof of it but I just thought I'd make a comment to see what people thought 'cause after all it is a 'fantasy' and they say greed makes you into something ugly so....

1. She's hideously ugly.
2. She may use way to much make-up.
These are supported by the fact that somehow Queen Brahne does not have a husband or a man present in her life. Did Garnet have an adoptive dad who helped Brahne raise her? No mnetion of it. I don't blame any guy though; even though Brahne's in a position of extreme power in the kingdom, she's rightfully called "Elephant Lady".

A bit redundant considering she had a loving relationship with a man before he died [of whatever cause]. We see mention of this throughout discussion pertaining to Brahne's past.

Ok true there. I forgot that she was actually a kind-hearted person up until the point Kuja strolled into her life. Not knocking on Kuja here because I love his characterin the game, but it may make you sit back and think that Brahne may have actually had a different appearance before her husband passed on.
Apparently Garnet was about 15 when he died, and Kuja took this opportunity at a point during Brahne's grieving to catch her on the rebound. Not at all in a romantic way, but in a "using" kind of way to receive the Eidolons from her adoptive daughter. So witht ath in mind and how you reminded me she was a different woman before Kuja, it makes me think she possibly had a different image beforehand. It's possible.
[Takes back comment about no mention of husband]

I don't think there was anything about Brahne's appearance being different before, just her attitude changing due to Kuja's influence.
I always classify as FFIX as the FF game with cartoon-ish graphics; Amarant had blue skin, Quina's not Human, Freya is a Rat dragoon knight,
Vivi's a doll.
We even find out that Garnet/Dagger isn't even Brahne's real daughter, so...

Those seem the most logical explanations, I've always wondered what she was but, although I guess she is just an ugly human...not a pretty site
