I think she uses make-up. Maybe the stress and strain of running a country, combined with the grief of losing her husband, caused her to comfort eat and so she grew fatter and fatter. And her eyes... Maybe those were caused by a lack of sleep?

I imagine she wasn't always that bad.

I noticed that her skin seems to be the same color as Amarants...perhaps there is a connection? Since they're both blue/green ish.

As for her size, I think that's probably an example of her greed, which is mentioned several times during the game.

Actually, this is a tough one...Just look at Brahne's character artwork. Her clothes are a similar color/style, but her skin is colored differently...

I personally think that her face somehow resembles Baku's...
