Excalibur II

I dunno if there has allready been a thread on this, couldnt see one.

Anyway, has anyone actually got the Excalibur II befor? I've never manage it myself..read a guide on it though, and you have to play the level 1 game. Virtually get 0 random battles, dunno if i will ever attempt it lol.

i think there is already a thread on this, but anyway no ive never gotten it or attempted to get it. it seems like your characters could in no way be strong enough in that short of time, just seems like a stupid task for a weapon to me.

Your characters can be strong enough at level 1, i've watched a few videos of a level 1 party defeat Ozma. I may attempt this in the next few weeks..depends if i can be bothered though

I know someone who had it through a Gameshark but that's all. I'm not really that bothered about getting it since you have to rush the game. It's not worth it just for a few extra stats.

I would like to attempt this one of these days. It would seem as though it would be as hard as defeating Ruby and Emerald Weapon.

oh, i've done it-but it's in no way worth it. The weapon is exceptionally powerful, and a great addition to your arsenal-but you don't have enough time to amass an arsenal! I personally thought it runed the game. Though I didn't do it my first time-the first time, I always play properly.

You need to get to the last dunegon and defeat all bosses (that are in) within 12 hours. Also skip all FMWs. After you kill Lich there is a pillar around there with the !. You have to read the note Cid gives you first.

I know there's a thread like this somewhere... can't find it in recently history, so it must be archived.

Anyway, I've never bothered getting it legitimately before. Although it's insanely powerful, and useful against most of the final set of bosses... I'd rather play the story comfortably rather than rush through it. I value it too much. So naturally, I cheated to get it once. For the sake of doing it after I completed everything else in the game.

I did manage to get it my fourth time (I think, might have been the fifth time) playing through after crossing the guide on the net. Anyway, I can’t remember all of the details on obtaining it, but I do know it was a tedious task. Meh, in all, I did it as one of those 100% - do all there is to do scenarios, but now I’ll cheat since I’ve already done it through normal means... I may do the challenge again... Someday.

Yes I did manage to get it, but it wasn't easy. You need to know exactly what battles you will fight etc. And you have to open and close the lid when FMV's play.
