Beatrix Based On Celes?
does anyone else think that beatrix is a lot like Celes?
They're both generals in an empire who turn good,
They're both awesome with magic and the sword
They're both blonde (well Beatrix is blondish)
They both have capes XD
They both appear to be stoic at first but soften with time
Beatrix weilds save the queen - while in FFVIA Celes' ultimate weapon is save the queen....
so what do you think? Is Beatrix a tribute to Celes seeing as how FFIX was basically a tribute to every FF

Hummm...there might be some similarities but i don´t think Beatrix is a tribute to Celes, simply because Celes is miles ahead from Beatrix!
Celes from the begining understands that she is on the wrong side and her attitude only changes to the fact that she becomes more of a leader!
Beatrix on the other hand...what can i say?
She is not stoic...actually she acts like a cold murderer until the end of the first CD and part of the second one as well...
In other words...her hole change of heart did not convince me at all and i think she should have actually died as an enemy boss and nothing more...
Forgive me if i sound harsh but that´s my opinion and the fact that i don´t like Beatrix as a character...
On the other hand i do agree they are both generals although Celes is a much better magic user...she can use all types of magic while Beatrix can only use mid-level white magic i believe!

Beatrix's change of heart isn't completely random. She is only protecting her Queen and following orders; it's exactly what she's done for a large part of her life, just like Steiner. However, when she learns that Queen Brahne meant to kill Garnet, her sense of loyalty was divided, and she followed the path of protecting Garnet. She even healed Garnet in Alexandria Castle after Kuja did something to her.

thats the point are they planned coincedences? since theres a load fo references to previous games in this one then Beatrix could be the Reference to FFVI
