Well, not only in XII it was in VII and in VIII, if I am not mistaken, that you could switch the summons around to different people. IX and X were the only ones I can recall that you had 1 or in IX's case 2 summoners. =/.

Oh, yeah I know. I was refering more to the fact that in FFXII though, once you assigned a summon to a character, you can't use that summon with anyone else though. Like Vaan was stuck with Zodiarc the rest of the game which was retarded. However, in FFVII and FFVIII, anyone could use any summon, same with FFVI, which I liked better that way.

Yeah, it only happened during a small portion of the game, but I found it annoying my first playthrough when I actually needed a white mage.

Do you mean classes?

Gameplay-wise, it just seemed unnecessary to me to have two summoners. But as far as the story went, it was great.

Ugh. You mean Gulug Volcano? When you had to fight ten thousand facking dragons and you had no one to heal you. X__x
Yeah that was pesky. I always level up like 30 times more than I need to before entering that area. X_X

No, actually I was thinking of how in my first couple files I never properly leveled up, so Kuja's palace was hell and if Garnet or Eiko were KO'd I was screwed....

....but now you just brought back horrid memories of Gulug. I hate those dragons so much, I never have enough equipment to protect my guys from wind attacks.

I gotta say though, having a summoner/white mage was awfully useful in the Iifa Tree.

Yep, and the dragons at Gulug seem to randomly pop up when you least expect it...popping through walls, crashing in through rooftops...

I know, sometimes I wonder if they accidentally overlooked the fact that Garnet and Eiko are the most powerful characters at the Iifa tree...

Probably, but it balances out since they're useless the rest of the game.

And I'm still unclear as to the purpose of this topic, Yate....are you complaining that there's two summoners instead of one...or what?

It's just to talk about the fact that there were 2 summoners instead of one. I was just asking if you liked it or not and to discuss why you did or didn't. XD. 'tis it.

Then to answer that, I don't care

I'd probably care a little more if the summons were worth a damn. I think I heard somewhere on these forums that the summons do get more powerful the more gems of their type you have....but I don't think that theory holds much water, seeing as how I'd always have assloads of gems and my summons still could barely ever get higher than 2000 HP damage (not taking advantage of elements).
