Yang or Edge

Which one would you have rather had for the final battle?

I personally prefer Yang as a fighter. But Edge did do a lot of damage with his throws against Zeromus. So I'd have to go with Edge.

I'd go with Edge for the same reason, plus, I've used Edge more than Yang (not on purpose it just happened that way).

Yang. I have no reason to use Edge, seeing as I rarely like the Ninja based characters.

Edge was annoying in game and all but yeah, even though Yang was a strong fighter, I still preferred Edge for the final battle.
The damage done from his throws were very sweet.

Yang. I prefer Edge as a character, but passing Yang's trial in the GBA version gives him the power to strike for 9999 damage with his Deadly attack. I've never been able to do anywhere near that amount of damage with Edge.

Edge. I found Yang annoying and just didn't use him in a battle most of the time. Plus Edge always seemed to do pretty decent damage when he whipped shit at enemies.

I thought Edge could do 9999 (at least once) throwing some sort of secret item. For some reason I'm thinking a skillet but am probably confused by Mario RPG.

Yang's trial sounds pretty sweet, I don't think I remember it, was it secret?

Too bad keeping Yang isn't an option.

Edge, for the same reasons that everyone else has pointed out - his throws are freaking sweet

I don't think you're confusing the situation, maybe just the item itself. Yang's wife gives you a pan to hit Yang on the head with to knock him out of unconciousness, and then you get the Knife, which is a throwable item.
