What is the Life-Span of this game?
Well ive been playing it for about 6-7 hours on the GBA and have just got to the part where i get Cid and the airship.
so how much life does this game have left in it? im worried that its really short :(

I think it took me about 30 hours. Because it's an older game and an early SNES game, it's not going to be as long as some of the more recent RPG's. But I think it's worth it. There are also side quests you can do like go to the land of the Summons and get Leviathan and Ashura. (Recommended) and get Bahamut on the moon (Highly recommended!) You can also find the rat tail and give it to some guy who will give you another item, who you can give it to a dawrf and he'll give you a really good sword.
I would make sure your characters are at least level 70 before fighting the last guy. At level 60, they get all their final abilities. And make sure you see Yang's wife so she'll give you the best throwing item in the game before the last time you go to the moon.

OK, you have a little while to go, but not an insane length away. & Read Rydia's Post another time. she knows what she is talking about, and gave you the most useful points of the game.

I'm about 3-4 hours in myself and I can't find out how to get off this damn area. I just completed Mt. Ordeals, became a Palidan, but I have no idea where to go after the Malaysia city or whatever it's called. Urgh...
Nevermind. Apparently I have to step on a white dot in a house that a Black Mage was previously guarding. Sheesh.
