This is weird
Last night i went to play FF4 Advance after a week long break from it. I had 3 save files on it (two from my first playthrough, one was a new game) but i found they had all been deleted somehow. Disheartened, i did the only thing i could and started a new game. Upon saving the game outside Mist village, i found that two of my previous saves had mysteriously returned from the dead. At first i thought that their deletion had just been my imagination, but the saves have become glitched. Although the bestiary recognizes that i have defeated Zeromus twice (and therefore completed the game twice) there is no longer an icon on the save menu that confirms that i completed it. Furthermore, i no longer have access to the music player on the main menu. Had one of my saves not been inside the lunar ruins, i am certain i would no longer have access to them either. Has this happened to anyone else, or just me?

Could it be your GBA/DS? Or could it just be the game itself?
That does sound odd.
Maybe you should try it on someone elses system and try another IV on yours so you can try to figure out if it is the game or the system.

It might be because i accidently dropped my GBA down the stairs a few nights ago. FFIV wasn't in it at the time but it's the only explanation i can think of

See that was one of the reasons I was hesitant about playing an FF game on a handheld. I rely more on Console memory cards than the actual game cartridge so I was taking my chances when I started playing through FFIV on the GBA. So far, no probs though.

Fortunately it hasn't happened again. Knowing my luck though I'll go to play it again later and it will have.

It happened again >.<
Fortunately i've realised that the saves will come back once a new game has been saved, so from now on i'll keep a spare save slot for this purpose should it happen again
