i havent play it in the gba but i think snes was hard

I see... so.. the SNES version I played for a bit was a translated one, since the difficulty was similar to that of the PSX version I completed.

I'm playing the GBA version right now and it's a breeze...I can literally fight each battle without having the enemy take a turn at all. I'm not sure if the PS1 verion of the SNES version is harder, but the GBA one isn't so bad.

Since you likely played the PS version after, you were already experienced. Going through a second time, we may be more confident and level up less and then think it's harder

Every game is different, strangely, even if not usually in significant ways.
