Of the teams you're actually forced to play with in the game, I would say the very last team you have is the best. Rydia delivers the Meteor/Bahamut magic, Cecil, Kain, Edge do some hardcore physical damage, and Rosa is there to keep everyone happy and healthy. Oh and to cast White and own people, if your party doesn't need any healing right then.

Cecil: My strongest character in the game and his weapon, Lightbringer kicks ass.
Edge: I love using him not only because he is a ninja but because he very strong to use including his Ninjutsu attacks.
Kain: Double jump!
Rydia: Has very strong black magic attacks and the only character with summons.
Rosa: The only strong White Mage in my party.

i have decided to change my team, as i have found a new favorite team.

Cecil: warrior that kills all with sword YAY PALADIN WINS
Edge: second most powerful, also allows me to use useless weapons as damage dealers.
Rosa: my awesomeness white mage, can heal more than any other mage in the game.
Rydia: summoner loaded with black magic, i use her titan and Asura summons all the time.
FuSoYa: my best mage ever, he unleashes magic of amazing power.

and that is my preferred team.

It would have to be Cecil, Kain, Yang, Rosa, and Rydia. UNSTOPPABLE!!
