so... I guess no one knows if square-enix will be releasing ff3 for the playstation...

From what I know, SE have no plans whatsoever of releasing FFIII on the PlayStation.

The FF I and II that are on the PS are just tweaked versions of the Wonderswan Colour versions of the games. They planned to do a FF III for WS but scraped the project. I think if it went ahead we would have had a FF III on the PS to go with the rest of the seires. Instead they just went full blown with a remake for DS.

they really should finish the series on the playstation, i dont know why they dont

I think they should of had done too, but alas they had a better offer and took it. In the mean time enjoy your Original FF III Rom

NEEEEVEEEERRR!!! lmao, i dont like roms, if i have no choice ill buy it on the ds

im gonna buy the rest of the ones im missing and then ill leave III for last. We'll see what happens till then

Unfortuantly I can't afford a DS right now and thus havent played FF III on that. But from what I've heard its quite diffrent from the original, I suggest at least downloading the original and play it abit to get a feel of real, untouched, old-skool FF-ness. Its actually a really good game dispite years old, by far the best NES-era FF.

But if you don't like to do it fair enough, your loss. Just be aware that the original has never been released outside Japan and probably never will.

I always wished it would release on a Playstation console as well, but I guess the DS will ahve to do. It is garnering big sales for Nintendo right now and it's a popular game, so I think Square-Enix will leave it on the DS for now and take no further action with taking FFIII to other systems. :(

Well from a business standpoint, there's probably nothing as profitable as combining an FF players lust for the only game not released off the shores of Japan and the incredibly whoring of Nintendo products each Nintendo fan posesses. This way it gives Nintendo fans something to play (which we all know they typically don't cause no Nintendo system has any games) and it gets FF players to pick up a DS in the process. It's a win-win situation.
