I choose...Knight, Red Wizard, Master and Black Wizard.
Yeah, the four of them is really a good team. Knight is good 'coz its attack are great. Red Wizard for it can attack and can use magic at the same time, Master is the best ever, it has greater attack than knight and lastly Black Wizard for Black Magics.

The first time I choose : Warrior, Thief, White Mage and Black mage...
Then I choose 4 thieves... the game is pretty hard with that team but still nice

Originally, I had a Fighter, Thief, Black Mage and White Mage. Upon discovering that the Thief wasn't a very useful character, I went with two Fighters instead. My Fighters now can take a lot of damage, which is a good thing, especially since I have two of them.

On my first playthrough I tried the Fighter, Black Belt, White Mage, Black Mage combo.

After beating the game that way, I tried the various fighter classes, Fighter, BB, RM, and Thief. This wasn't too shabby, though I did miss frying enemies with high powered spells.

As for the BBs, the best party for ultimate damage is either BB,BB,BB, BM or BB,BB,BB,RM. (i can't remember if RMs can use haste or not.)

i used ummmm i dont remember well but i think it was 1: figther 2:white mage 3: dark mage 4: thief that's all

I've only completed the game once, and when I did I opted for the following....

Warrior, White Mage, Black Mage, Thief

If I had my time again though I would subsitute the thief for another warrior. I really didn't think the thief did enough for me.

Well I started out with a Warrior, Thief, Monk and Red Mage.
It's a really good combo IMO... but with one drawback: the Red Mage isn't able to learn every spell, especially the two final ones.

So, I restarted the game with this party:
Warrior, Monk, Black Mage, White Mage

Worked pretty well.

I was young when I played this so my first party was 4 fighters...I didn't fully grasp the magic thing, or wasn't ready yet to accept it in my game (I was a mario bros guy)....I then tried a Fighter, Thief, Black Mage, White Mage....My third was Black Belt, Red Mage, Black Mage, White Mage.

One disappointing thing in the game was that 4 fighters was the easiest way to go...You would figure balance would be rewarded...But no...
