So, you're thrown into, a world identical to Ivalice...
I've been thinking, if you were thrown into a world identical to Ivalice in FFXII, and Vaan and the gang asked you to join up with them, would you? also what would your personality be like? And your main weapon? (E.g. Bow, Sword)
Here's mine:
I would try and sound wise and mysterious (Not that it would do much xD)
Use a 2 Handed Sword, and yes, I would go with Vaan and gang.

The answer: I would join the judges instead 
I would be the quiet one, mysterious and experienced fighter. My main weapon would be a set of twin, 3 feet long, short swords or a zweihender type sword, in other words a huge sword.

I would go solo myself as a sky pirate living free with my own airship I wouldn't get involved with politics.
Weapon wise got to go with either a katana and magic or a gun and magic.
Might occasionally team up with Balthier and Fran for big job though.

I would get some money first. Then I would probably hunt Marks for prizes, join Clan Centurio. My main weapons would be 2 swords, with a bit of magic here and there.

So you're an experienced swordfighter? He said if you were thrown into Ivalice...
Anyway, I would probably just pick up your average sword, maybe join a small-time clan and just take it easy. Probably become one of those generic people on the street that repeat the same phrase over and over haha

I'd be a Rikku type character, but as a powerful mage that can summon the most powerful summons ever!

If I, as a normal human, were suddenly thrown into Ivalice? Well, to avoid being slaughtered, impaled, disfigured, torn up, eaten, tentacle raped, burnt, frozen, zapped, assimilated, crushed, stabbed, chopped in half, or otherwise executed, I would probably have to turn him down, then spend the next couple years practicing swordsmanship and Black Magic. Basically, I'd train myself to become sort of a Dark Knight. As much as I'd love to take part in an epic quest to protect existence from utter destruction, the fact that I have hardly any training in combat would probably slow me down just a bit, and would more than likely leave me...well...dead. Yeah, I really don't see why anyone would want someone who can't use ANY weapon to join their group, but...
If I were transported to Ivalice and magically given the neccessary skills to defend myself (i.e. master swordsman, proficient in Black Magic)? Then yeah, why the hell not? It might be fun. Besides, if nothing else, it would give me a few stories to tell at parties.
