Hell, Akuma's most powerful attack is said to be capable of destroying an entire continent by SFIII.

Seph was defeated by Cloud's Omnislash. That attack is not island-sinking level. So, Akuma destroys him with one punch.

Superman vs Sephiroth? Hmmmmm... my money is on Superman.

Even if Seph achieved his goals, he'd really be nothing to the top tiers of Marvel and DC Comics.

A threat to all Marvel or DC universes? No. But of course he would be a threat to some heros, like any other villain is. Depend of what hero we are talking about.

The problem with AC Seph, is that we don't know his full potential. We only have an idea of it, because of what other characters did. For example, we have beings in FFVII that can destroy everything in the world, and beings that can fight in "DBZ speed". Because of what the creators stated(that there is nothing above Sephiroth, that they will never create a character stronger than him, etc) we know that he is at least, in the same level of these beings. And because of his feats(corrupting and controlling the source of magic, telekinesis, illusions, etc) we know some things he can do. But we don't know everything he could do in AC, because he choosed to "play" instead of really fight.

I don't remember of Sephiroth having many speed feats in BC. It's better to wait for CC to see them. And if Akuma did that, he is stronger than PN Seph for sure.

Nikkolas, what we saw in FFVII or AC, is not everything. This is why Ultimania Omega and Reunion Files exist. To explain what wasn't explained in the game and movie. I suggest you to read them.

Sephiroth with full control of the Lifestream and magic LOST fair and square to Cloud's attack. Get it? He was destroyed in his most powerful form by an attack inferior to what Akuma can do.

Tell me how moving a planet, which he NEVER did, will help him against a guy who can send his soul to Hell?

How will black clouds and some speed help him against fists that can destory islands when people with inferior abilities have bested him time and time again?

Akuma is very popular, so i'm not surprised that some people side with him. And a few people in the internet readed the FFVII books and interviews with the creators, meaning that most of them are ignorant about Sephiroth's true power.
