Yes we do. Thats what every fan want. If you started loving Cloud and co from Kingdom Hearts, you've started out on the wrong end. Every fan wants to know how it all will end. Nomura has also discussed this like I said, he wasn't sure of how to end the entire saga. But I want an end damn it.
You see the planet overgrown with nature 500 years later and Red XIII still living. I want to know how Clouds last minutes of life are spent.
-How Sephiroth is defeated once and for all.
-How Jenova is removed for good.
-If there will be any love between Tifa and Cloud.
-If they find and successfully use a new energy source.
-What Genesis will do and what he intended by bringing Weiss with him. The list goes on
This is the very reason why the word "Last Remnant" is exciting. Because it could be about Cloud being the last one left with enough cells to call forth Jenova or another Sephiroth.
Or it could be about Genesis. An old first class SOLDIER from a long lost era. Possibly having a dangerous plan in his mind that is so greatly speculated that it will surpass Sephiroths plan by far.

I'm a fan and I sure as hell wouldn't want to find out what happened. I have let my reasons be known but I guess I have to repeat myself.
I love the games but I hate the sequels. Mainly because when an FF game ends, I like to think of my own conclusions of what happens etc. It gives us something to talk about but why should we go through some sequels of them saving the planet and watch the end turn out all jolly-happy in the end? Let it end at the end of the game, even better they could leave a cliffhanger and let the imagination of fans go wild of people coming up with theories and conclusions. It is no fun of years fans have been wondering what happened to the rest of the FFVII cast (apart from Red XIII) for Square Enix to just tell us anyway which just turns out very boring and predictable.
Thats what I loved about FF as each title was basically a one off and it was on to the next with different characters, storyline, battle systems, sidequests and even worlds. That is why I do not like the sequels/prequels as it ruins my imagination of what happened? Or even trying to figure out things that happened before the game starts. Instead, they bring out a mediocre movie with bringing back Sephiroth out of the blue for no apparent reason. Still, I try my hardest to not pay much attention to the sequels/prequels.

See this is why i dont want them to make any more sequals...i LIKE having to speculate and theorise about what happened to them all, like take the LTD for example nothing will EVER solve this as that was all left up to players opinions.
we can pretty much argue that even though Jenova and Sephiroth can keep coming back Aerith can always destroy them again and so on. these thoughts and theories about each little thing is what makes FFVII and its other games so good - they don't need to explain everything and we are made to think.
which i think would be ruined if they made another FFVII sequal, we don't NEED to have these questions solved.
I wouldn't mind if the last remnant was a whole other FF game though - just as long as it's not another FFVII sequal....
