Mages or Fighters - Page 4

I've found out that fighters can take out most enemies, so I favor fighters. But there are times when mages become very useful. If it weren't for Yuna, Doublecast, and Flare, and her ultimate weapon I might never have been able to defeat Overdrive Sin.

I have always been a fan of hand to hand combat, so I chose fighters

. It is the best feeling when someone like Auron critically hits an enemy for 9999, it just isn't the same when you cast a spell. Also there is the whole MP deal, so I think close combat is better

I would be both. a Fighter Mage Idea. Like a Red Mage where they are decent Fighters when out of MP. But have access to some decent spells.

fighters i choose brute strengh over magic.

Although it comes in handy magic usually becomes too weak towards the end of the game, while strengh comes out on top

That's mostly true; the higher level magic can still dish out ridiculous amounts of damage however. But, it costs a crudload of MP, while physical strength is for free.

I usually balance both but I most likely have the tendency of prefering fighters over mages. Yes mages have long range and many other advantages but if you run out of MP.....you know...*dead*

That's why I choose to be a fighter and leave Mages to bring support.
