How you get AP?

How does your character get AP? does the player have to actually hit a monster to get AP in the battle or do they just have to switch in? Also if all of your characters at least fight one turn in the battle, some may fight more tha n one turn, do they all get the same amount of AP?

If I remember correctly (it's been a few years), for someone to gain AP, they have to be in battle at least one turn. I don't think you gain any more or any less from the number of actions any character takes in battle. AP is evenly distributed amongst all contributing party members.

As long as the character perfroms an action in battle, he or she will get AP. They can do anything; attack, use magic, or an item. As long as they do something then they'll get AP
