All in all I guess its a matter of opinion. I honestly think its worth it, I mean, the've added so much stuff, and made adjustments, I guess I could say the exp could be adjusted. And with the new expansion coming out, it makes it all the more better.

I say this game is very much worth your money - as long as you don't give into addiction easily. I used to play FFXI and it was the only thing I did all day... >.> I was forced to quit, though.
All of that de-leveling crap: bull. It's actually very easy to fight monsters on your own to get to level 10. Then you get to join/make parties and fight with other people and, depending on what jobs you choose for the party, is really fun.
I only grew to about level 30 before I quit, though... But I also leveled three different jobs up one after the other, which was very hard...
Anyway, I recommend the game, but I hope you'll keep your guard up to the addicting gameplay... O.o

The PS2,PC, and Xbox360 versions of this game are identical other than display resolution. Its best with a controller though, imo but you can get one cheap for PC too.

i never played it personally, but ive heard mostly bad things about it from people that love FF, so i would say its probably not worth it. |

You shouldnt base your opinion of XI on what your friends say, or what Aztec Triogal says, cause half of it isnt even true.

Agreed. You need to try things for yourself. Sure people base what they buy off of reviews, but most of the time the people with the bad reviews are just, picky XD
Try it for yourself. There is a reason you get a 30 free trial. If you don't like it, return it, or however that works. I kinda wish they offered a one lifetime payment for FFXI like they do for lotr.
