I would have to go with Mateus, The Corrupt. She was a challenge when I fought her, especially because of the icy bastards. Not to mention, if you summon her, she does heal you when needed. Though I would prefer for her to attack, and her design is pretty good.

I have all espers...and they all so powerful

I have 4 favorites:

1:Zordiark

2:Zeromus

3:Chaos

4:Ultima

If there would have been FF9's Zidane as Esper...that would be cool would it be?

I can't get Ultima's overdrive to work. Ugh. It takes skill.

Also, I find that some of the espers were quite...useless. Why were they not involved in the story more?

Yeah all espers were unless since you could do alot better in the amount of time it takes to summon them :/
And they use up all your mp which wouldve come in handy for healing

Their attacks were lame and they sometimes got in the way. Belias had gotten useless about the middle of the game. It was just like..."wtf!?"

So, I just stopped using them. My MP can be used for something way more important.
