[FF7: PC] Keystone Bug?
Well, I'm in a really tight spot.
Well, I am playing the game with the original version on the PC, but the problem is that I am at the Temple of the Ancients, and I had just enacted the movie where Aeris talks to her voices, and then you run up and the dude in the cape floats into the sky.
Everything went as planned here, but I don't have the keystone!
I can tend to be a retarded gamer sometimes (throughout my play I have had stupid mistakes occur because I didn't do something quite right, or I was just non-observant)
But to my knowledge, everything that I did was right up until this point.
Is this a bug, or does anybody have a solution for me?

You need to go to that little house first, is it near the gold saucer or costa...? Anyway, its ju st a house near the coast on that continent, go in there, talk to teh dude and he will be like yer, I sold the keystone to some dude at the Gold Saucer (Dio) so those 2 are your next ports of call before going to the temple ^^

Then you are in trouble. maybe your game is glitched....hmmm......yes, something is wrong, you SHOULD in retrospect have it....aha!! no, you should not have it because you placed it when you first entered. you dont get it back after that. you saw tseng, who had it, then he gave it to you and you placed it, so you SHOULD NOT have it anymore. happy playing

another 4 step program
1) get the keystone from Dio
2) find the temple of ancients
3) use keystone
4) have fun cause thats the last you'll see of it.

No, I still had the Keystone all the way through the game. That and all the other key items I got. Sure, after Cait sith gives the key stone to the turks, you don't have it, but you get it back for the rest of the game after you go to the temple of the ancients and get it back from tseng, and use it in the entrance, You should still have it after that. If you don't then your game did glitch.
So, sorry buddy.
Luckily after the SPOILER wrapped part, you never need it again.

The PC version of FFVII is a tad glitchy when it comes to a few things because of the internal differences between the PS1 and PC. It may run choppy and the music may not be up to par (it's in midi format) because the game is built more suited for the PS1's format and nothing has to be slowed down or altered but I never heard anything about items disappearing for good. That is quite a serious issue, luckily it's just a measly key item that you don't need anymore.
I would still be fairly cautious and save often. That is something I would be uncomfortable with to really play the game. If one glitch happens usaully several follow up with it.
