I bought mines off of amazon and it looks real but theres only two things that makes me question it...the bows are a lighter color then what is shown on the square enix website and the tag says heartland/disney/pixar but it did came with a square enix card.

can some someone take a pictures of theirs or tell me if what i posted makes it authenic?

One of my friends bought me the Black Mage Chocobo for Christmas once. He's been a sort of mascot for my conservatory ever since (along with a bat who hangs from a tree we call Batman, and a manatee beanie...).

I've just this second taken a few pictures of it to see if it will be any help to you.

I'm not sure if this is exactly the same to the one you have, but I can imagine that it is.

Would you be able to take a picture of your chocobos? I'm not sure how you mean when you say lighter than on the website. It might just be an issue of room lighting and posting a staged perfect photograph on their website.

If it has Square-Enix mentioned somewhere on it though I can imagine that it is official.

I think the old FFV sprites for black chocobos were purple. So perhaps if they ever did FFV merchandise you might also get a purple chocobo, but it is unlikely.

Sorry, nothing useful to contribute, but how come the plushie is only for 13 years and older? xD

I was thinking about that when I viewed my photograph.

I have no idea why that is... It's not like it has any small parts that can be swallowed.

In fact it looks like the sort of thing that, if I was a father or an uncle or something, I'd give to a young child to help get them into Final Fantasy.


Perhaps they're saying they don't want Chocobo to be chewed on, and would rather see him being loved by older fans as a collectable item.
