I don't think Mr. Taylor or Ms. Buress (Tidus and Yuna's English VAs) are untalented. I actually loved Yuna's voice in X-2. And as Shuyin Taylor also did a great job.

I blame the dialogue but hat's just me.

1) Which game do you think had the best/worst VAs?
Hard to say! There's at least one character voice I love in each, and at least one I'm "eh" about.
2a) Which character(s) had the best VAs?
I love Auron's voice to death, but that's partially an extension of my love for the character. Never an awkward line from him. Rikku is also lovely. And Wakka. Weirdly, I loved that cheesy accent.
Balthier and Basch are generally excellent. So is Larsa, and most of the important NPCs in XII, like Drace and Vossler and Cid and Al Cid. Yeah. Generally very good voice acting in XII.
Kefka is AWESOME in Dissidia, especially because those were some very big shoes to fill. I don't think many were disappointed with him, and that's saying a lot. His actor is the same guy that plays Kakashi in Naruto. Almost never recognizable, but on the occasion where it is, it's just that more creepifying for me, hearing the crazy from the lackadaisical mentor guy.
Ugh, this list is getting long.
I quite like both of Squall/Leon's VAs. Though that is partially character love bleeding over, again.
I also love Cloud's VA, because of the slight rural twang in his voice. I don't know if it's intentional, but it's perfect.

2b) Which character(s) had the worst VAs?
Yuna in X. She... acted.... okay. But. The pausing. Why? Much as I love X, that took me out of the game a little. She was fine in X-2, however. Unlike most people I don't dislike Tidus' voice. He grew on me, like mold, and Tidus is kind of an annoying, ditzy guy, so it fits the character. I also really dislike Aeris/th's voice actress in nearly every case. TOO demure. The girl grew up in the slums and hit people with a stick. But this is also a matter of what I think is the character being misinterpreted in everything besides the original game.

Cloud in AC was disastrous. Okay, maybe I did watch the Japanese version first, but... my my... "I'm a delivery boy now." ... Hillbilly much?

Funny, this is why I love Cloud's English voice actor. Nibelheim is supposed to be about the ass end of nowhere, so deep down, Cloud is a hick. "Let's mosey" indeed.

1a. I think probably FFX just because the voices were a bit more upbeat and cheerful rather than, say, FFXII. which i liked but not as much.

1b. I think crisis Core. None of the voices were that spectacular and aeriths voice does my head in! ahh!

2a.I actually really love balthiers voice

. its just so regal-like.It makes the life of a pirate seem so romantic

Cait sith in FFVII:AC is the worst voice ive ever heard in anything ever! as a scottish lady myself, i dont know why they couldnt have at least used a real scottish person instead of some random dude that is putting on an awful accent (i apologize to the dude if he really is scottish!) Just terrible... Really...

1a. Which game do you think had the best VAs?
Well there's not much room for decision in this question because the only games with voice acting are X, X-2, and XII. Out of those, I'd have to say XII.

1b. Which game do you think had the worst VAs?
X, mostly because of Tidus. Every time he started speaking I muted it, and just read the subtitles. Yuna paused too much and when she's angry she sounds... stupid. I liked Lulu, but she sounded too much like she was telling a story every single time she spoke. There's good times in the game to sound like that, but not for every line. Shelinda's voice drove me up the wall, as well as Maester Mika. Stereotypical old man voice.

2a. Which character(s) did you think had the best voice?
Fran. Not many people like her voice, but I think it suits her. She is a Viera, therefore it makes more sense in my opinion that her voice would be different from the others. She was my favorite character out of all in XII, and it's also possibly because I like diversity, so the fact that her voice didn't sound so similar to everyone else's could play a part in me liking her voice the best.

Another character's voice I liked was Cloud of Darkness. Her grunts and "heh"'s didn't sound as cheesy and predictable as the others in Dissidia.

And so I don't sound too feminist... I liked Firion's voice.

2b. Which character(s) did you think have the worst voice?
I'd have to say Tidus. His voice actor just took it way too over the top. If you closed your eyes and tried to picture it as a real person saying his lines, you couldn't. It was overdone. "See ya!" *rips hair out* When he says, rather, tries to say "She's an Al Bhed", I just wanted to throw the game out of the window. He was just too annoying for me.

Another voice I disliked would have to be Zidane. It just reminds me of a cocky 12 year old. I cringe whenever I hear it.

I meant the main Final Fantasy titles, and I'll give you credit for IV DS although I never played it, and it is a remake. I wasn't saying it to offend you, I was just letting you know what games I was making my choice from.

Hm, well, I liked the majority in most games tbh. I do favour XII though, I do think they were significantly better then previous titles. I don't like the Imperial Soldiers voices though, I find them a tad annoying haha. Out of X I liked Auron's voice the most, X-2, probably Gippal, and XII, well... Magisters, Basch, Vayne, Reddas, Vossler...Dr.Cid...yeah quite a lot.

Probably XII. They all suit their faces so well and poshly, bar Penelo.

Balthier!
So annoying sometimes, but I love it.

Seymour in X has the worst voice ever.
Like, it totally should have been a lot deeper.
