When Posts are Deleted.

It's incredibly annoying when legitimate posts that you've made have been deleted. I remember when the drama with Aztec and Busta was occurring, we discovered that mod actions can no longer be seen by the public, or even by the member whose post/thread has been deleted.

I request that this goes back to the way it used to be: where members can see exactly which of their posts/threads have been deleted and so that we can read the reason as to why it's been deleted. If we're doing something wrong, how can we hope to correct that?

As I've made clear in the thread which has seemingly incited this, there were no deleted posts to restore, and no kill commands showing in the admin log. Therefore you're mistaking said thread with another in which you converse about the final bosses from various games.

If a post is deleted, it is for a legitimate reason and the moderator responsible for deleting respective posts are charged with notifying the member. It works fine the way it is, and won't be changing because you find it an inconvenience.

For that thread, specifically, I know that we had more posts. Definitely. I even searched the other threads for the discussion after reading your post and I remain certain - it's definitely gone, for whatever reason.

In general, it's just irritating. I've noticed two more of my own posts that have disappeared and I honestly don't know why. So this is more of a general request and the threads in question were just the stimulus.

I've never been notified for any kind of deleted post.

I imagine that more members than myself would find this to be irritating and when someone else posts and agrees, I wont be that moaning little shit-stirrer that you seem to think I am. Surely to christ, it's not too much of an effort to bring back that old system.

I actually agree with Riku, nothing annoys me more when I delete a post, only for someone to go "Where did my post go?!

" and post the same thing again.

Before I believe that only Senior/Veteran members could see the reasons mods deleted posts, which helped them judge a mods ability - like the Aztec situation, it's only because they could see that he deleted relevant, decent posts that they started to complain he was power abusing.

No effort at all. I'm just disinclined to acquiesce.

However, should the moderating team in general and a majority of the members feel this is necessary, then of course it'd be considered. But right now, I'm seeing no real reason to revert.

I'm being awkward because I'm not changing an entire system for one person.

And like I said: it's impossible for them to be deleted without me knowing about it. There's no evidence of deletion, so you must be thinking of something else without realising it.

Is it possible there has simply been a glitch on the forums?

The staff have no idea of any action taken because no actual action has been taken and the posts have been removed by a glitch in the system?

I've heard of it happening before and since Riku is so adamant that posts have been deleted and your so adamant nothing has been done I thought I would just mention it as a possibility.
