why not a star medal like what is given to every person who meets a requirement on the site that would solve everything

All someone would have to do is place the mouse cursor over their name, and wait less than one second, then they'll see what color means what. There's no way anyone can get confused by one simple color.

Again: adding it to the legend would be stupid. The primary function of the legend is to determine who is on staff, and who isn't. Implementing the arcade into it is just... quite simply an awful idea. And if we let you have a colour and didn't put it up on the legend, we'd constantly be getting PMs about what it means. Unnecessary hassle, which could be easily resolved by tossing your selfish idea out of the window.

Not quoted for any reason other than to re-iterate the fact that you're suggesting this for yourself. You just want to stand out from the crowd. I'd pity you if I didn't find it so pathetic.

Again, omg selfishness.
You're not getting a colour change. Though the star sounds perfectly acceptable and tidy.

saix is right the color idea is too selfish and that would take up server space (that is a bad thing if the site hits over 20,000 which is the adverage over flow limit) and stars take up little space at all.

Alright, let's see how I'll fare this time;
See right there? It clearly states Staff: Belazor, Saix. Let's say Pooley is a champion, and has a name color, new members would see, plain as day, that said champion is still a member.
There's no way anyone would confuse an arcade champion for a staff member. Especially if they hovered over the name for .25 seconds and read ''Arcade champion.''
I said it was a possibility that a defeated arcade champion would come back and start posting. They come back, try to beat their score, then say ''Oh, look, that topic is of interest to me. I'll post there.'' Arthvader is my example of such effectiveness the arcade has to offer.
Selfish? No way Jose. I said a color for any, and all arcade champions. Anyone could just beat my high score, and I'd have no color. I wouldn't care though, because that means the arcade section isn't dead.
The star is an OK idea I guess. Even though it'd be more noticeable if the champions had a user name color. I mean, by comparison, I've personally hovered over names with colors way more than ''Friend of Final Fantasy'' stars. (No offense, keep donating please.)
Here's the part where you lay down your king:
If the arcade section doesn't deserve anything to display one's accomplishments outside of the arcade, the same should be said for RPG Inferno. When I was a new member, I thought the HP, and MP meant how high you are in staff. That's where the confusion comes from. I'd bet many other members thought the same thing as well. The RPG Inferno even has it's own sub section, and sub boards. That doesn't pertain to the main part of the forum any more than the arcade does. I don't see the reason as to why the RPG Inferno gets massive special treatment in comparison to the arcade.

QUIT PUTTING YOURSELF BEFORE THE SITE sorry for that but do you know how much server space it takes to do that? a lot i will tell you that for every person who gets the additional color it could acually lower the server space by lots a star is ok cause it is put in name but a color would modify the entire site and sometimes doubles the useage of the site

That's preposterous! There's no way a color would take up that much space. You must be mistaken.

And you'd be on every single second of every single day? The confusion would still be inevitable. "Why is that guy not up there?", "What is that colour for?", "Why is Guv'na being such a tool about the whole thing?"
Not everyone knows about hovering over names. Not everyone gives a shit, either.

As said previously: those people get a PM. If they don't come on the forum, how are they to know? And if they don't come on the forum/don't post anymore, do you seriously think they care that they've lost their title of which they spent but a few minutes on?

You said so yourself that you're the "only active champion." Spells 'greed' and 'egoistic' to me.

Not everyone is you, are they? The star in their profile is a tidy idea which could be looked into. It'd also be less queer of a suggestion.

RPG Inferno is a major part of any forum which is in possession of it. It's widely recognized as an entertaining game, and people want to play it. Much unlike the arcade, which is primarily for people who have a spare few hours of their lives which they feel they can waste on generic games which numb the brain. Oh, like you.

Some have the sense to actually read the given guidelines and help threads in the forum.

Because it's under such huge demand. If you cared to view the nature of some of the threads, there's constantly people looking for help, setting up clans, and creating small 'wars' if you will. It's easy to talk about Inferno, and people enjoy it. The arcade, however, offers too little to talk about in order to gain a section of its own. If it were immensely popular, then it's like to get at least one small portion of the forum to itself. However since most people don't care, the arcade will remain in the shadows.

Again, the RPG is by far more popular. The staff can't change everything on a whim just because one person thinks it's a great idea to make himself look like he has a bigger e-penis.
And to completely deflate your ideas on the matter: you're not getting a new usergroup for arcade champions, you're not getting a special colour, and you're not going to get recognition outside of the arcade. Just stfu about it already.
