I don't know if this is the right place for this thread, if so please move it.

I know I've been lurking the forums more then posting and I've finally noticed something. Most of the topics these days are Spam topics, the interesting Debate topics have died out, I don't see members like Erythritol and eisprintz and others that were most active in that area anymore.

I just want to bring this to the attention of the staff, this forum really needs the Debate area, I remember all the interesting conversations and debates, all the lols and the drama.

It's just something that's been missing these last months.

Simple answer to this, try and think of more creative topics to post! There's so much going on in the world which can be debated, so there's not a shortage of discussion topics.

However, you could have debate competitions I suppose. Between two people, whoever debates the best gets...errr...a prize? I dunno.

Yes, I've been quite concerned about the Debate Section seeing that no possible (interesting) debatable topic has been made nowadays. I also believe that the debate section surely can be appealing to new possible debaters.

To all members: You are all aware that we are going through some major changes that might have left topics unattended. Although we are trying our best, the site still needs some new "updating". Hence, I would like to request FFF, our community, the ones who make this site possible, to lend a hand and help us to make this place shine bright once again!

We shall inspect the Debating Section and do some major cleaning.

If anyone feels to contact any of us, you know where to find us.

I wasn't looking for an answer, merely trying to bring something to your attention, what you do with it is entirely up to you.

No prob, the thing is that lately, and by that I mean these last 6-7 months, I've been busy and couldn't actively try to start debate topics. They seek attention and hard thought, you can't just blabber anything, it has to have meaning and content, all this needs free time, which I'm sorry to say I have very little.

I don't think that the debate section needs to be "cleaned", as it were. We just need a few crackpot Government officials to propose something else before we grab a hold of another topic to rant about. xD

I've been powering through with my Human Genetics & Health Issues course, so expect a few topics on that to be posted up somewhat imminently.

Dude, you are expecting to much from the Government

We could also discuss about general ethics and whatnot. I love ethics

You've highlighted a great point.

This is something that concerned me when I first joined up a few months back. There is lots of great boards and threads on this forum but a lot of peoples energy has been used up in spam topics. It's good to have a little bit of healthy spam to make freinds etc, but I have felt at times that people were spending a little bit too long in them, and not taking part in not only debates but also FF related topics on this forum.

I don't think many major changes need to be made. Afterall, I think it is a great idea to have a seperate board specially made for spam to prevent it from leaking onto the main boards. I just think that some people should be encouraged to take part in other discussions, which on the whole they do, but should be encouraged to take part in them more than they have been.

This forum has a LARGE number of people, and a lot of people come online every day, and yet many important topics remain unreplied or have only two or three people posting in them for days...
