Idea
You know how we have Signature of the Week?
Well, why not have a Video of the Week? I mean, it could be pretty fun and there could be a panel of judges on the moderating team like there is on SOTW (I presume so, anyway).
So what do you think?

that sounds like it would be fun, but a weekly one for videos might be a little rough. maybe a monthly one. I would so make stuff with flash.

There probably wouldn't be many participants.
I wouldn't mind playing around with flash, but I probably wouldn't make videos that'd be...uh...appropriate.
Who knows. It could be cool.

I suppose I'd be in favour of this. It's a competition I'm likely to do well in. However, I have to agree - weekly might be a bit strenuous for anyone who enters often. Fortnightly or even monthly would probably be more appropriate.

This would be fun because i like to piece together things and make cool videos on Windows Movie Maker. Im also thinking like every 2 weeks - a month perhaps.

If we were to implement something like this then it'd probably something more like Video of the Month instead of Video of the Week since we wouldn't have enough participants per week. That is a very big IF.

Hrmm, it would work best as a competition but I doubt many people would create videos weekly. It's can be a lot of work. :/
What do you mean by video? People creating AMV's or personal videos?

This sounds rather good. I have some videos on my friend's camera that I can borrow to enter in the VOTW/VOTM. They'll be funny I promise.
They also include some wet spots too.

I dunno, it doesn't take that long to make a movie if you commit to it. I used to be in a class where you had to make four five-minute videos a week, so if people are experienced with iMovie/flash movies, they could churn out a ten minute video per week. Depends how fast you work, I guess.
