New club section rules
No, there aren't any new rules yet, but I had an idea I thought I might share, and I need everyone's opinions first.
There are just a few problems going on in the club section as of late:
Problem 1 - Newbies creating clubs that already exist
Problem 2 - Newbies creating threads and leaving the forums, which means the clubs are virtually leaderless
Problem 3 - Hate threads (usually created by newbies)
So I'm thinking about ensuing some new club section rules.
To help prevent the issue of newbies from creating pre-existing threads and/or opening threads and leaving the forums without notice...
I want to make sure that the clubs at FFF stay active, and I want to rest assured that the club owners won't just walk out and leave their clubs for dead.
I thought it might be a good idea to require users to have a certain post count before opening their own clubs (at least in the FF character club section). Since the FF character club section is the most popular, I think it would be best to enforce this idea in that section first, just to see how it works out.
I'd feel much better having FF character clubs be run by well-known and reliable members as oppose to newbies. (No offense to newbies of course.)
Well, does anyone else have any input?

I agree with you Rhea.
i think that if a club becomes too inactive a new leader should be appointed and given control of the first post - which contains members list and rules and stuff.
And as for the post count thing...i think 50 would be an acceptable number - after all it's already used for features like the RPG asnd becoming a full member - so i think adding "making character clubs" to that list would be acceptable

Sounds like a good idea. I would recommend 25-50 posts. But in my opinion, they should be able to join at 25 and then finally be able to make threads-their own clubs-at 50.

I agree too.
But it's better if the post count is 150 posts.

Agreed, but I still think we should be allowed anti-charater clubs (see my thread in the help desk). I don't really see what the problem is with them. If people start flaming, then they can just be warned

Actually, that does sound better than 25 or 50. We need to be sure they're willing to remain active.

I like this idea. I noticed too that the clubs aren't as active anymore.
Speaking of which, the Tifa and Aerith friendship club is leaderless. DragonMage just left and left a message that she'd like for Aeris Gainsborough to become the new leader. So AG, I like that idea too about a new leader being able to have control of the first post just in case the old leader leaves.
