Changeable skins

Well, this forum is interesting. A lot of things to do. But..there's only one skin. Skin as in the style of the page. In other forums - KHInsider being one - a member can choose to change the skin to KHI Ultimate, the default - with white base, a kingdom hearts banner on top, and blue borders - KHI Lite which is wider, has more white, lighter blue borders and a different banner, tren_Z similar to this, only thinner, and KHI Blaq which is a shade of brown with a different banner and darker brown borders. The member can do this on a Quick Style Chooser at the bottom of the main page.
The main reason I'm suggesting this is because this color discourages me from posting

XD... maybe a different color will change that. Of course the members can choose to make it any skin they want.

The colour of the forum stops you posting? Im sorry, but your post doesnt seem to be polite, almost demanding.

Many members dont mind the background colour as they can post their posts in any colour they like. If there were changeable skins of different colours, many wouldnt be able to read the posts as many would perhaps use the same colour for their posts.

The grey skin IMO is fine as it is.

Although your post was a bit rude, it is a bit dissapointing that we don't have any other skins. However, if you know any people who can make skins, please, feel free to tell us about them.

There's plenty of free-to-use skins on vB.org and other similar websites. But I'm assuming that staff want a specially made one for the forum and not a public one.

I prefer dark backgrounds. I agree with Sapphire Star, if we had skins with different background colors, some color text could not be read on certain skin backgrounds. It could lead to problems.

I for one would love a different skin... Maybe african american or hispanic... That would be very interesting... Wait...

...You meant the site...? Crap... *clears throat* I like the site just the way it is. And though I didn't like how the site looked when I first joined, its appearance has grown on me. And no, I'm not getting paid to say this... Now let me exit stage right so I can receive my check. ^^

koloth is right the fonts would then cause major problems on the site which is why most sites only allow one background now if the admin decide to they can change the entire background to one that is more suitable but most of the site would have to request it to change but most like the current one.

Wouldn't a selection of dark backgrounds work alright then?

Do you have some form of colour deficiency? The reason I'm asking is that I do have one and I've always thought that it was dark green and it wasn't until recently I was told that it was blue, which drives me crazy - point here being, wtf is the colour of the skin right now? xD

I really don't mind the colour of the skin overall, however. It would be nice to finally have the option to change the skin but it's not exactly repulsive, either.
